Zac completed his PhD studying the thermal physiology of dung beetles and their capacity to respond to a warming climate. He has worked closely with Landcare groups and the community to increase knowledge of dung beetles, running workshops and assisting in establishing dung beetle rearing projects at local schools. As a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of New England Zac is responsible for coordinating research activities across northern NSW including the design and management of experiments, rearing beetles for future releases, and monitoring dung beetle activity.
