Introducing new dung beetles to reduce flies

Swallowed a few flies this summer? Australian scientists are looking to introduce new species of dung beetle, hoping to decrease fly populations exacerbated by drought conditions.

The Dung Beetle Ecosystem Engineers project is being carried out by the CSIRO and Charles Sturt University with funding from Meat and Livestock Australia.
