In response to local landowner and community requests to learn more land management techniques, Council presents a Dung Beetle workshop hosted by Dr Russ Barrow of Charles Sturt University Dung Beetle Ecosystem Engineers project (DBEE).
The dung beetle project is expected to provide significant benefits to livestock producers, with aims to:
• improve soil in grazing systems
• reduce the spread of diseases and insect pests, such as bush flies
• increase pasture health
• reduce nutrient run-off into waterways
