Abstract Note
The 3rd-instar larva and the pupa of O. marginalis andalusicus, a coprophagous Palearctic species, are described, based on material collected in cattle dung in Sicily, Italy. Some considerations on the taxonomical significance of the preimaginal characters in the subgenus Palaeonthophagus are also provided.
